Tuesday this is usIt may center around Kate and Philip’s wedding, but it’s basically Kevin’s bar mitzvah: the day he finally became a man.

And all his late growth is rewarded, because by the end of the hour, Kev and his ex-wife Sophie have met! Along the way, we’ve learned how all this evidence of female presence in Kevin’s hotel room came to be found by Madison and Beth.

Read on for our top ‘night before the wedding’ events, then be sure to check out our site Postmortem interview of what Alexandra Breckenridge has to say About Sophie’s Big Return to Pearsonville!

we play the zakat | As the episode title hints, we spend most of this episode the day before Phillip and Kate tie the knot. Both Ariel – Philip’s friend who is the wedding singer – and Cassidy are there. But Randall sees his brother checking the hotel lobby and realizes how he’s watching Sophie, whom he’s only seen twice in the past several years: at her mother’s funeral, and at Kate and Philip’s engagement party.

When Sophie arrives, Kevin is clearly surprised. Rebecca is one of the first Pearson to meet, and she greets the young woman warmly…and then it turns out that Rebecca’s dementia made her think that Sophie is in her twenties, and she and Kevin are still married. Meanwhile, Ariel rushes to Kevin and hugs him, but this is only to prevent Philip’s corrupt cousin, Oliver, from hitting her. (Side note: Cousin Oliver she has To be timidn nod, right?)

Ertugrul Resurrection Series Season 6 Episode 14Ariel quickly thanks Kevin for saving her, and explains that she knows he’s famous but then admits that she’s never seen an episode of any recurrence. mani. “I’m more than just a podcast,” she says. Soon after their split, Kevin sees Sophie at the front desk, and deals with the fact that the airline has lost her luggage and has nothing to wear to the weekend festivities. By the way: she flies alone, because her husband returned to New York and had to work. Kevin volunteered to drive her into town before the stores closed, and after a while of “Is this a good idea?” Gratefully agree.

But it was too late, and by the time they got to the shopping area, only the dry cleaner was still open. Using a trick her mother taught her from the financially lean years after her father’s death, Soph asks the owner if she can browse for clothes that have been cleaned but never picked up. There are so many long looks between Sophie and Kevin in this scene that I’m surprised she found time to try on a green dress she picks off the shelf, but she did, which is awesome.

Sophie, one | Based on their conversation, we learned that Kevin’s Foundation for Building Veterans Homes is going well. (Earlier, Ariel mentioned the “series final episode” of his show, which leads me to guess that mani Rebooted.) Then Sophie tells him that she currently lives outside of Berlin, working as a traveling nurse in an effort to see more of the world. Kevin wonders how it’s done, with Grant in New York, but she’s not so quick to respond. And when they started talking about the gray speck in Kevin’s beard, and I approached her before stopping him from dyeing it, Something Still raises between the former Mr. and Mrs. Pearson. He mentioned a time when Nikki cut his chin and wanted to call her for advice, but he didn’t because he didn’t think it was appropriate. “You could have called,” she says, packing a great deal of meaning into those three softly uttered words.

On the way back to the hotel, they stopped to take a look at the view and then ended up for a walk on an out-of-season vineyard. He notices that she looks happy. She replied, “I’m really happy, Kevin.” “I am also divorced.”

All-organic experience | We go back to the engagement party, where Kevin gets up to talk to Sophie but then awkwardly spills wine on her before he meets Grant, her husband. Back on the field, he says, “I really liked this guy.” But she told him the marriage had been over for a while, and they were just making suggestions. She explains that the reason she didn’t open up earlier is because she needs to make peace with the idea before sharing it with others.

They talk more. She told him about her entry with Rebecca. They’ve come to realize that neither of them are dating, and on Kevin’s part, it’s because he feels pretty much every romantic relationship he’s ever been in has been just a “chain of failures.” And when she gets cold, he takes off his jacket and puts it around her shoulders.

So it’s not really surprising, later that night, that Kevin follows her to the elevator, and she follows him to his room. They kiss, and things warm up very quickly. They began to undress each other, and she is on top of him on the bed with her bra off when he notices that her hair smells the same as it did before. She stops and tells him that she is not doing it. But he maintains that he’s still Herbal Essences (telling me you were a ’90s girl without telling me you were a ’90s girl, am I right?), sat up angrily, quickly slipping back on her blouse, and saying it wasn’t. Then you leave.

Kevin is surprised by this sudden turn of the evening. You must like the smell of my hair right Nownot how she’d smelled in the past,” she says. She details her breakup with Grant, and how one day when he was cheating on Kevin the way they’ve always been, she didn’t find it funny. She says he has a strong grip on her, and she’s carried him with her all these days. The years, but she doesn’t want to turn back. So she leaves. Kevin says stunned with lust Whaaaaaaa?

Ertugrul Resurrection Series Season 6 Episode 14“I always carry you with me” | So Kevin went down to the bar and saw Ariel there. She watches people and writes potential song lyrics on cocktail napkins. When he clicks on it, you read what you wrote after noticing it. And this is the female handwriting that Madison and Beth found in Kevin’s room later, when he took it out of his pocket and put it on the desk.

Later, Cassidy swings by Kevin’s room to help unravel her dress. After he complies, he starts telling her that he thinks they might act as a couple when she shuts him off very gently. “You’re not my character, you’re not yours, and you know that,” she says. (By the way, she brought her pajamas into his room to change into, so it’s her bra and wrap that were on the back of the chair the next day.) be Best friends, though, and he agrees. They hugged the door and left.

Wonders of the world, miracle of miracles | Kate and Philip’s wedding kicked off the next day, as we’ve seen. During the reception, Sophie made sure to tell Rebecca how beautiful her song is, and Rebecca notes that her ex-wife looks sad. “It’s Kevin, isn’t it?” The older woman says. “I love my son, but he’s an idiot.” It soon becomes clear that Rebecca thinks Sophie is 20, and offers her her advice: “Now it’s time. It’s not ready for you. It will be, but it will take time. And I don’t know if you can wait for that to happen. I Personally, I don’t know if I can. But when the time is right, it will be very cool.” Sophie, who takes the words seriously, only smiles.

On the other side of the room, Randall had just questioned how the night before and learned everything that was going on. “So let me get this: the woman you’ve been longing for for years is suddenly celibate, and you Depressed around?” teases him. Kevin says he doesn’t want to hurt Sof again, then asks for advice. Randall replies with a speech about Super Bowl merchandise (seriously, it’s not one of his best), but here’s the takeaway: “The world is crazy. Does not make sense. But you and Sophie together, that now makes more sense than most things.”

So Kevin found Sophie and started talking, but she interrupted: “You can’t give a speech this time. It’s my turn.” She told him she had spent years praying that he would grow up. She’s made it clear that she’s the best version of herself right now, and adds that now he’s the man she’s always hoped he’d become. Her dismay the night before had stemmed from the thought that he was stuck in their past.

“I don’t want to go back to the old versions of ourselves,” she says, with tears in her eyes. (How foggy too.) “I want you to love me for the woman that I am right NowYou’re not the woman I was, because you’re not the man I was. And I want to fall in love with the man I’ve become.” Kevin then takes out his wallet and shows her the Valentine he wrote to her the first day he saw her, when she was a freshman in their elementary school. “I’ve always carried you with me, Sophie,” he says. (Note side: Gilmore Girls He has this kind of momentbut it’s still a nice exchange.)

They accept. The room erupted with applause. Is not love kindled great love?

Now it’s your turn. What do you think of the episode? Are you happy to see Kevin and Sophie get together? Sound off in the comments!
