In a statement, Commissioner Robert Manfred Jr. said after an extensive investigation, Power had received a 324-game suspension in the championship season (representing two full seasons) without pay, as of Friday. The association did not disclose the details of its investigation.

“We have fully cooperated with the MLB investigation since it began, and we fully support the MLB’s Common Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse and Child Abuse Policy, and the Commissioner’s implementation of that policy,” the team said in a statement. “We understand that Trevor has the right to appeal the commissioner’s decision.”
