Kevin Durant responded by firing into the crowd after the playoff disappointment 2022-04-27 14:56:49

Kevin Durant no longer shoots on the field, but he takes a lot of shots from fans…and Charles Barkley.

The Brooklyn Nets were knocked out by the Boston Celtics on Monday, and Durant and his teammates have since been criticized for their post-season disappointment everywhere from social media to TNT’s Inside the NBA show.

But Durant continues to respond, responding to fans’ tweets on Wednesday with some sarcasm.

This comes next Durant wrestles Barkleywho on Monday questioned the legitimacy of the tournaments Durant won after joining the star-studded Golden State Warriors who had previously won the title without him.

“I don’t want to insult the guy,” Barclay said. “Look, you guys always talk about things about the championship. I try to tell you all. All those bus passengers, they mean nothing to me. If you’re not driving the bus, don’t walk around talking about you’re a champion.”

“If you’re riding the bus, I don’t want to hear that… All these guys are walking around with championship rings, you bus passengers. When you’re the bus driver and you have all that pressure where you have to play well or you’ll be blamed. That’s a different animal. .”

Durant averaged 26.3 points per game in a first-round game against the Celtics, shooting just 38.6 percent on 20.8 field goal attempts per game, his worst shooting performance after the season since his first playoff appearance in 2010.

It’s also worth noting that Durant was the MVP of the Finals when the Warriors won the championship in 2017 and 2018.

He refused to throw Barkley under the bus.

He responded Tuesday morning by posting photos of Barkley, the Hall of Famer who led the Phoenix Suns to the NBA Finals but never won a championship, on his own superhero teams. The photos, posted to Durant’s Instagram story, featured Barkley standing alongside Hakeem Olajuwon and Scottie Pippen as teammates for the Houston Rockets, and the younger Barkley with fellow Philadelphia 76ers Julius Irving and Maurice Cheeks.

Jokes continued on the bus Tuesday night as ‘inside the NBA’ Transform a scene from “The Office” to Barkley driving the Nets team bus.

They even gave Barclay the keys to a bus called “Chuck’s Wagon” and had him drive it.

No response to this from Durant (yet).

This is what happens when the wheels fall off the bus in a super team season.
