YouTube playlists are a great way to organize your videos. It’s easy to go for a walk and watch a lot of videos every day, sometimes you want to save certain videos for later. Playlists help you do just that, and keep everything organized. For example, “Favorites” can be all the videos that you really like, while “Music” playlist can be your favorite songs. Playlists can also get out of hand, especially if you use playlists to organize the content of your YouTube channel. Let’s go over how to delete a YouTube playlist.

Delete a playlist on YouTube

from Youtube Home screen, tap library Tab from the menu on the left side.

In the Library, scroll down to File playlists Section. tap on View full playlist Button below the playlist you want to delete.

With the playlist fully open, tap ñ button under the playlist title.

From the next dropdown menu, click Delete playlist.

You will get one last chance to undelete the playlist. To continue and finish deleting your playlist, tap delete.

Android and iOS

Open the YouTube app on a file Android or iOS Device. From the bottom toolbar, tap library.

Scroll down to playliststhen tap the playlist you want to delete.

Click on ⠇button at the top left of your playlist. From the next dropdown menu, click Delete playlist.

You will be prompted one last time with an extension Do you want to delete the playlist? pop up. press delete To delete your playlist.

Does deleting YouTube playlist delete videos?

No, deleting a playlist does not delete the videos in it. These videos belong to their respective owners, and in order for a video to be deleted, the person who posted it must delete it themselves.

The same goes for videos on your own channel. If you create a playlist full of your videos, deleting the playlist will not delete those videos. They will still be available below Videos tab in your channel.
