Pretty as a picture amidst the blue spring bells of Norfolk, a Christmas girl Princess Charlotte Is normal in front of the camera.

And what a joy it was to see her – in these photos I took Duchess of Cambridge To celebrate her daughter’s 7th birthday today – the family’s new beloved pet for the first time.

Prince William Kate has kept the identity of the new pup a secret until now. But the Daily Mail can reveal that the little spaniel is named Orla.

Kate’s three pictures of her spirited daughter – a princess who loves ballet but can also give her brother George a run for his money on the football field – epitomize her natural joy.

Charlotte laughs at the lens as she wears a blue plaid blouse and blouse, holding a bunch of freshly picked daisies in hand.

On the other hand, fourth in line to the throne looks a lot like Big Brother George – but with her mother’s brown hair and green eyes.

The pictures were taken at the family’s country home Anmer Hall over the weekend, where little Orla also joined them. It was given to the family in the summer of 2020 by the Duchess’ brother, James Middleton. She proved to be a great source of comfort when they lost their Lupo, their first black spaniel, in November 2020.

Kate and William have been on Lobo ever since she made them a puppy in 2012 — a year after they were married. However, they guarded his privacy so jealously that they initially refused to confirm his identity, let alone reveal his name, until Kate let him get away with it in an incident dubbed “Puppygate”.

While Lupo was the Italian word for “wolf,” Orla—whose name has also been kept secret for two years—is of Celtic origin and means “golden princess.”

It’s unknown why the couple chose him, but they later said they liked the name Lupo, so it might be the same for their new pet.

Lobo cock-spaniel was given to Kate by her brother James in 2012.

He originally raised a set of puppies from his dog Ella in 2011.

James kept one called Luna but gave Brother Lobo to Kate when Prince William, an RAF search and rescue pilot, was deployed to the Falkland Islands.

Lobo often appeared in official Cambridge portraits, but died at the age of nine.

“He has been in the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him very much,” the family said in an Instagram post.

James Middleton also gave the new puppy Orla to Cambridge, before Lobo’s death.

Now that she’s seven, Charlotte will likely appear in more royal engagements such as church services. She joined George, eight, at a memorial service for their late grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, in March.

She is currently a student at Thomas Preparatory School in Battersea, South West London. But last month, the Mail revealed that she and her little brother Prince Louis, four, are due to join George at an exclusive school in Berkshire from September.

William and Kate explored new schools and homes in the countryside near the Duchess’ parents Michael and Carol Middleton.

The couple are looking to start a new life in the Duchess’ home district in order to give their young family the best chance of a relatively normal childhood as long as they can.

Although Anmer Hall was an ideal base when William was working for East Anglia Air Ambulance, now that he and his wife are full-time royals, it is no longer practical for them to travel regularly to Norfolk on weekends.

Keeping all of their children in the same school will also help strengthen the bond between them as they one day face the challenge of royal roles in the modern age.

Earlier this year, Prince William revealed that one of the few things they fight about is who chooses the music they listen to in the morning.

“She loves running in the kitchen with her dresses and ballet stuff and everything,” Charlotte said. He added, ‘I was totally mad with Lewis following her everywhere trying to do the same. It is truly a happy moment as the kids enjoy dancing, fiddling and singing.

He said that his daughter would love to play the song Waka Waka by Colombian pop star Shakira.
