Tesla Executive Director Elon Musk He responded to a tweet from Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y. On Friday evening, he told her to “stop hitting me”.

Musk was responding to a tweet from Ocasio-Cortez, in which she expressed her frustration with the “massive communications platform.”

“I’m tired of having to collectively stress out an explosion of hate crime before some unilateral billionaire with an ego problem takes over and defaces a massive communications platform because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special,” Ocasio-Ocasio Cortez tweeted.

Ocasio-Cortez replied to Musk saying “I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok,” but deleted the tweet less than a minute after it was posted, according to the ProPublica Project that tracks deleted tweets from politicians.

Musk’s comment comes after only days Twitter It announced that it had agreed to be acquired by the CEO of Tesla for $44 billion.

After Twitter announced the deal, Tesla’s CEO said he was looking forward to unlocking the company’s “tremendous potential.”

“Freedom of expression is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital city arena where matters vital to the future of humanity are discussed,” Musk said. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by improving the product with new features, making open source algorithms to increase trust, defeat spam bots, and authenticate all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the user community to unlock it.”
