President Bident He traveled to Minnesota on Sunday to deliver remarks at the memorial service for former Vice President Walter Mondale.
Mondel died in April 2021 at the age of 93. Biden wanted to attend because he had an “important personal relationship” with Mondel, according to White House press secretary Jen Psaki. Service has been delayed due to COVID-19.
Biden called Mondel “one of the most dedicated patriots and public servants in our country.”
The service is held on Sundays by invitation only Minneapolis, but it is being broadcast live. It will start from 1:30 to 3:00 PM CT.
