Deadline April 26, 9:45 a.m. The San Jose Police Department said late Tuesday morning, Baby Brandon has been located and taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Police said they would release more details about the suspects being held and the charges against them.

April 26, 9:15 a.m. San Jose police said at a press conference Tuesday morning that they are talking to an individual interested in the alleged kidnapping of a 3-month-old baby.

Sgt. Christian Camarillo said the man in a surveillance video escorting Brandon Cuellar brought his baby carrier into the apartment and it was a premeditated act.


The boy was allegedly taken from his home while his grandmother was unloading groceries from a car outside, and Camarillo said the grandmother gave “inconsistent” statements to police. Camarillo said she’s someone they “really focus on.”

“She knows more than she tells us,” Camarillo said.

April 26, 5:57 am A three-month-old baby was snatched Monday from a San Jose apartment by a stranger while his grandmother was unloading groceries from the car, officials said.

The San Jose Police Department said the man entered an apartment in the 1000 block of Elm Street in San Jose before 1 p.m. and left with baby Brandon Cuellar. Twitter.

Police released surveillance footage of a man walking on the sidewalk carrying a baby carrier covered in a white blanket.

“The family does not recognize this suspect,” police said on Twitter.

The California Highway Patrol released a photo early Tuesday morning on Twitter of the vehicle the suspect may have been driving and later deleted it.

“At this time, we do not have a description of the vehicle or a license plate,” San Jose police said. ABC 7 Tuesday morning after the photo was pulled. “When we have this information, an amber alert will be activated.”

The grandmother reported the kidnapping. Brandon was picked up after she got home from the supermarket and brought inside while she was unloading groceries, San Jose Police Sgt. Christian Camarillo said: NBC Bay Area. The child’s mother was at work at the time and the father was imprisoned.

“In that short period of time, someone entered the apartment … and left with the child,” Camarillo said.

Police described the alleged suspect as a short-haired Hispanic and in security footage he was wearing a gray hat, black mask, dark blue shirt and black pants. Police said Brandon was last seen wearing a white long-sleeved jumpsuit with the dinosaurs at the time of the alleged kidnapping.

Police said to call 911 if you see Cuellar or the alleged suspect.

San Jose Police, CHP and FBI are working on the incident.

“At this time, FBI officers and agents are going door-to-door in the Elm Street area and surrounding streets in an effort to find witnesses or other information related to this case,” San Jose Police said. Twitter. “We will continue to update this event until Brandon is found. All available resources assist with this investigation.”
